we are both fishing on LAKE SUPERIOR
close to this time of the year,
they start running

THE SMELT, in this body of water average about 5-6 inches
pretty good eating
great for the fryer

i usually eat 6-8 + rice and that feels me up

Park Point is two miles or so less.

Then Green Bay, Lake Michigan both near Lansing and Chicago.

Well, you could try the Iowa River, which is just a tiny branch of the river.

green bay down to chicago is a NO NO
too much pollution down there
you won't get bucket full

Ashland in not far from Park Point. Same kind of thing: beach and smelts. You can do all your three Bs there: bonfires, beer, and brats.
