I usually just deep fry it and with some fine crush pepper.  A bowl of rice in water and that's it for me.

I know, I know.....I'm not that great of a cook.  So, the easy way will do it for now.  Depend who makes them, I also enjoy larb.  I have to say it, my dad and brother makes the best larb....any larb in general.

Kinda off topic.  I go to these parties/restaurants that serves larb, most, a couple pinch is all i'll eat.  But my dad and brother, I could eat it for days.  So, yeah, I'm kinda bragging right here.

Maybe it'll have taste if we just let it sit in a vat and rot for a few months to bring out the flavor and aroma?

I'm not a fan of fish either.  It took me a long time to get use to the fish smells.  Anyway, marinate your fish a few hours before cooking and don't forget the chilli pepper = better tasting fish.

I don't cook too well like the way my mom does so it may not be as good. I can't make larb, but if you know Lao people ask them about larb pha dib and they will know what it is. Other dishes I may be able to help, which one do you want?

What ingredients to make your steam fish and fish soup? Thanks, will ask others about larb pha dib.

Fresh water fish? I would have to say salmon. Smoked salmon larb is good.

Love almost everything except the msg. I hope the secret ingredient that makes the fish tastier is not that. I’m surprised that padaek is not part of the recipe. Thanks again.

I like my fish soup without padaek, I prefer the dills and basil aromas lol. However, I do like some on my gang nor mai (bamboo soup)

You’re welcome.

I’ll work on the moke pba. (Steamed fish)
