cut the grass every week
espcially during the growing season
you will cut alot of the weed before they get a chance to grow

It's still spring and there's much natural rain. So, I'd expect your lawn to  look green for now. But in a few weeks when the rains have stopped and you also won't be watering them, I expect to see a brown surface.
