Bad experience buying pizza this weekend
« on: July 15, 2019, 04:40:39 AM »
My fishing partners and I were  hungry and so we decided to stop at Papa Murphy's for some pizza.

I put in the order and paid the charge for a large pizza. $14.00, plus tax.

When the pizza was all ready, the guy wrapped it up and handed it to me raw.

"Raw?" I asked.

"Yes," he answered.

"It's not cooked?"

"No."

"Can you cook it? We have to eat it between now and going home back to Saint Paul," I said. (We were an hour away from home.)

"No," he said.

Since I already paid for the pizza and it was already made for us, I had to just take it.

Advice: Never ever order pizza from Papa Murphy's unless you have the time to cook it yourself and you don't need food at that moment.

Isn't that one of the places that don't have ovens to cook pizzas...but they make them, ready to bake.

I don't know if they have ovens or not. But they won't cook the pizza.

Who orders raw take-outs like that? Why not just go to Cubs and cheaper ones with the same taste or even better?

That pizza place is raw. Not cooked. Popular here for fundraising event. Never order again unless you want to bake it in the oven.

My everyday pizza is Little C. I start using their online order for 3x. Faster and ready when I go pick it up. Punch in my number at their little machine and grab my pizzas.

I'll admit, I've done that before too.  ;D ;D  IT wasn't papa Murphy's but I stopped by a place and ordered one to take home.  They got it for me and it was raw so I handed it back and got a refund.  Probably a common thing.

Also, you might have mistaken them for Papa John's. Which does serve cooked pizzas.

Not sure how you don't know that as Papa Murphy's have always been a "take and bake" establishment for almost 25 years now...

Now just imagine if you opened up an "I bake your pizza" joint, right next to this one.  You'd be banking it from people who buy from them, then walk next door and pay you to throw it in your oven for 10 mins.  ;D

You have never seen a commercial that advertised, we make it you bake it?

There more than one place that does this.

No. I haven't watched TV since it became digital.

Thanks, everyone. Now, it's more confirmed.
