Equifax Credit Bureau Settlement Eligibility
« on: July 25, 2019, 09:44:16 AM »
As you all may know Equifax Credit Bureau was breached exposing millions of people's personal info.  Unfortunately, I was a victim of this breach.  I am almost 99.99% sure most of you were too unknowingly.  Here is a link to Equifax's website to determine if you are eligible for a $125.00 "settlement".  If you are affected and had spent time, money securing your identity, they will reimbursed you for that too.

They will ask for your last name and last 6 digit of your SSN:

Thanks for the heads up. Have not had my credit history run in over 10 years so don't think I'm eligible..

Can we trust the link?  It's asking for SSN.

Also, before you can file a claim, you'll need the following items ready.. Too much work for me.

Quote
Costs, expenses, losses due to identity theft
Account statement with unauthorized charges highlighted; police reports; IRS documents; FTC Identity Theft Reports; letters refusing to refund you for fraudulent charges

Costs for freezing or unfreezing your credit report on or after 9/7/2017
Receipts, notices, or account statements reflecting payment for a credit freeze

Credit monitoring purchased after the data breach
Receipts or statements for credit monitoring services

Professional fees paid to address identity theft
Receipts, bills, and invoices from accountants, lawyers, or others

Other expenses such as notary, fax, postage, copying, mileage, and long-distance telephone charges
Phone bills, receipts, detailed list of places you traveled (i.e. police station, IRS office), reason why you traveled there (i.e. police report or letter from IRS re: falsified tax return) and number of miles you traveled

$125 is base..

and under 10 hours which pays $25 an hour with no proof.

Don't cut short.  $350 is at stake here.   O0

there is a box where you can type in what you did for them 10 hours.  I put lawyer consultation,  constant time monitoring my credit report.  Google search and the dark web.

easy money  :2funny:

you should do it again..

add 10 hours or less, no paperwork needed either.

10 hours to constantly looking at your credit report seems legit to me.  Plus unlimited time you went to do a dark web search for your name.  ta da  :2funny:

no need to check.  I'm a hacker  :2funny:

all you guys can go here and file.  Nothing to lose.  If it slips the system, you get payed $125

It doesn't even ask for you SS# while filing claim so I don't know how they are going to match names to ss# either.

the thing with these settlement is
the earlier you file
the better your chance of getting some of the pot

who know if you will get that $125 or not

according CNBC
 150 million people are affect
$425 million will go to consumer

if you do that math
if all those 150 million people file
everyone will get $3-4 dollars

If it says $125 then that's how much you get.

If it say pro-rated then based upon the numbers of applicants.

With big no proof suits like these, I happens to have plenty of addresses all of a sudden.

I file for a defective product claims worth millions
About a year later
After which i have forgotten, I even filed

I got a check in the mail for $1

Don’t get your hopes up
Every one and their mother wants a shared of the pot

I don't have a conscious when it is suing a large company with lots of money.

If it is suing an individual that has no money, I don't sue.

small bank taking big bank.   O0
