After 14 years, it's time for new boots

I put some tape around the spline and grease it a little to prevent the new boot from scratches as I push the axle rod through it. Then once done, take the tape off:




Lube the spline and install the tulip back on:






New boot on and tulip installed, ready to punch the axle through the spindle and hub and connect the tulip back with the stub:




Glad I have this bad boy for the axle nut because it requires 173 Ft/Lbs of torque  O0:

Also replaced the crimp type CV boot bands with these special made hose clamps for a tighter clamp and easier future removal  O0:
