Sad, Turkey began the assault on Kurds and I thought Pres. Trump is going to do something to Turkey if that happens but nothing so far.

It's disgraceful and shameful. Should have learnt from the past that allies should not be abandoned for short term benefits. By doing so, America has opened many doors to extremist recruitment. Just think of the many children or parents who's family are destroyed from this full scale assault from the Turks. We're not winning any hearts and minds but are actually cultivating more of people whom wants vengeance against us.

We already know what BNM and others like her will say in Trump's defense: oh they need to take care of themselves, we shouldn't be over there fighting their war for them.

But what they won't say is that, those Kurdish folks believed us when we went over and got their help to fight ISIS for us and they thought this was a mutual thing but nope. Just like how the Hmongs got screwed, so did the Kurds.

In other news, Trump is claiming that the Kurds are purposely letting ISIS prisoners go.  Only dumb Trump supporters are eating that bowl of sheep feed.

There might be some hidden reasons for this pull out. It's not to abandon the Kurds.

Nor was the US intent to abandon the Hmong.

We Hmong were left behind because China and Russia were closing in on with North Vietnam and the US just could not keep hiding under and behind those hilly Southeast Asian terrains.

We Hmong were just not backed by the US anymore then.

The Kurds are the same: Syria has ties that the US and the Kurds don't in those mountainous ranges.
