Just my opinion but at that price, you're better off buying it brand new. Toyotas are the best vehicles made in terms of reliability.

You don't need a Tacoma just so that you can toss a kayak back there for fishing.

I hear you. 40k for a vehicle. Our society thinks we just got richer and we are not. You don't need a truck for a kayak and you certainly don't need a 40k truck. Cars are more comfortable to drive. I have a 90's civic that still runs to this day.

Not only vehicle sale prices, most things are up. Even my raise last year was barely keeping up where I live and it was one of the best raises I’ve received.

I have two women clients who love the new RAV4 so much, they wouldn't let them go, no matter what.

It must be built to hook people's hearts.

Why worry about "$30k" when you can just win the lotto since you're the "hmong Nostradamus and is always right"?  ???

For someone who gives out free advice about money I find it difficult to believe you don't understand inflation.

I'm not about to hate but if you're going to gloat about your contribution, you could at least give a little more than 5 dollars. My standard is 20 bucks.

What is this? High school, where you show off to others what you do or have? Come on people, I thought we were pass the high school phase!

That's how it is with the handful members. They fight then plug each other to make up and then fight again and then plug each other to make up again....etc.  ;D ;D ;D

it's not inflation
if we go by inflation the car would be around $12k ISH for a corrolla
back in the 70s it was like $2k ISH for a corrolla

it just SUPPLY and DEMAND
they just put whatever pricetag people are willing to buy
because they can

this dealer about 60 miles away was charging $2k more extra

He already got called out publicly by other PH members for giving out bad investment "advice" in the "Money" forum...so I'm NOT surprised...

Wooh wooh wooh.

First and foremost, I'm trying to simplify things here.

To be honest, yes it's not just inflation and/or supply/demand.

Consumer's no longer have the same buying power that they used to 30 years ago.
