We all know what the ratings is going to be already when a white person directs an original Asian movie.

Even Jet Li and Donnie Yen and Jason Scott Lee don't sound powerful anymore, right?

Should have been directed by Yuen Woo-Ping or Tsui Hark.

Did y'all know the director of Forbidden Kingdom is also white as well?

Its rating was 6.6/10. Not sure how many people enjoy the movie. Are they particularly fan of Wukong aka The Monkey King?

Liu Yifei did a good job in this movie where she plays a disabled heroine who wears a Hmong costume but flying in fights, too.

"The Four."

Here's a clip of what might be a trailer to the movie.

Thanks for the link. The trailer's genre is much similar to Bride the white hair remake starring Fan Bingbing.
I'll watch it on Netflix or prime video when it release.

Good thing the Chinese hire our Hmong peeps in China to be part of their movie. Only man did this was Jackie Chan.
Go and watch Skiptrace starring Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville.

Hot Hmong chicks there.

Nowadays, the more stars include people of various backgrounds, the more well-known they are and more famous and marketable they will be. So, unknown tribes or cultures will surely surface with big stars somehow.

China Hates Disney’s ‘Mulan,’ but It Has Nothing to Do With Politics

https://variety.com/2020/film/asia/why-china-hates-disney-mulan-1234770198/

Even though Disney bent over backwards to create a live-action “Mulan” that would appeal to China, disgruntled Chinese viewers have dubbed it “the worst ‘Mulan’ in history,” saying that it feels “wooden” and offensively inauthentic.

The poor reception means that the $200 million Disney blockbuster will gain little traction in its most critical territory — one of the only major markets where the otherwise straight-to-Disney Plus title will see a theatrical release. “Mulan” is currently forecast by data tracker Maoyan to gross just $38.5 million (RMB265 million) — less than a tenth of the $437 million (RMB2.99 billion) projected cumulative for the Chinese war film “The Eight Hundred.”

Of course, we all know the way this film was produced won't impress the Chinese viewers. When the first cartoon came out, they even had some famous actors like Jackie Chan and others dub it into Chinese, yet few watched it on the big screen in China and Hong Kong.

This film was made for Americans. How do I know that? It's all English! Even that last gift to the Hua family was inscribed in English: "Devotion to Family." There's no Chinese writing to go with that.

The general American viewer is impressed though. The idea of woman power is great. The focus on narration over actions is what Americans love.

First time I see Liu Yifei made into Chinese drama, Condor Heroes. She only appear during 2nd episode and onward.
Dayum she's a beauty in these parts.
