Chai changed his last name to his mom's last name
« on: September 14, 2020, 12:30:34 AM »
Chai changed his last name from Romruen to Hansen as a dedication to his mom's sacrifice over the years raising him.  O0

Some fathers would be against it but not me. If my daughter decides to change her last name to her mom's last name or some other last name, it wouldn't bother me at all. As long as she continues to love me and be a good productive member of society with good characters, I could careless what her new name is.

Chai was born in Thailand to a Thai father (Superut Romruen) and an Australian mother (Sandra Hansen). He's currently new Monkey King on Netflix:

I agree with some of her points:

Marvel Actress Chloe Bennet, who is half Chinese and half white, snapped back at people on social media who criticized Bennet for changing her original surname, Wang.

“Changing my last name doesn’t change the fact that my BLOOD is half Chinese, that I lived in china, speak mandarin, or that I was culturally raised both American and Chinese,”

I wonder if any of them have any regret changing their name.

Great question!

I think this guy did  ???:

Kirk Douglas revealed he wished he'd kept his original name, after changing it early on in his career because of concerns it was "too Jewish" for Hollywood. On Wednesday, the legendary Hollywood actor, known for roles in Spartacus, Lust for Life, and Paths of Glory, died at the age of 103

She changed it because she knows that with an Asian last name, she won't get much role other than some chinese related movies.

Heard that too.

If my daughter decides to change her last name to her mom's last name or some other last name in the future, her reason won't be too much of a factor to me as I'm not against it like some fathers. What's important and what I care about is she continues to have a positive bond with me and be a good productive member of society with good characters. She is free to change one or both her name to what she prefers as it has little impact on what's important to me.  O0
