I see some kids in this generation typically ages 7-12 tossing water bottle. I think it's silly but I can't say much because my generation at that age range also had our own silly game(s).

Here's the silly game I used to play when I was within that age range. And yes, I went through many pencils..  ;D:

Pencil Fight

When I first came to the USA, I was in a predominately black neighborhood - my godmother was black hahaah and I was given a "nickname" by her and this is popular then... I was pretty good:

Yep, same here. I use the thumb and pointing finger to hold the tip of the striking pencil..

That's a "sport" so it was much more productive than us breaking pencils for fun.. ;D

Isn’t that cheating? You’re pressing down as you strike? Lol

No, we hold it that way and try to bend the striking pencil back as far as it can without breaking and then let go. With that said, the rules can vary too in certain fights. There was one way where we can even remove the eraser, crimped down on the metal cylinder to make it sharp so it can cut into the opponent's pencil.  ;D

This normally how we hold the striking pencil (with thumb and pointing finger):

And oh, remember these?? If one uses a flexible pencil then all the participants have to use the same ones as a rule..  ;D:

Can be number 2 or not but it's mostly made of graphite so it's either wood vs wood or graphite vs graphite... ;D
