Yo, WI is all messed up like that. Having driven in multiple metropolitan cities in numerous stats, WI is the only state I've driven in that lays out their roads counterintuiti vely.
If you've been where this photo is at, you'd understand.
Yup. If you're driving East on 94 and you want to get on North 43, you have to drive on the right lane because it will start to go south, then curve north and to go south, you will need to be on the left lane (or was it the middle lane?) I can't remember, but it all goes in the wrong direction first then curves. Oh, the left lane doesn't go north or south, it continues east, towards the lake I think. The middle lane will curve south onto 43 south. It's really weird. Plus I think there's one freeway that's like 43 East, 41 North and 94 (not sure which direction) at the same time.
The thing that really got me was going through Milwaukee and seeing green traffic lights and stop signs at the same intersection. WTF are you supposed to do there? In Ca, Stop signs mean MUST STOP before continuing, no exceptions, but in WI the light is green and the sign says STOP. WTF?
