;D ;D  Oh yeah, huh.  I was so busy trying to figure out the signs, I didn't even notice that.  Tricky.  Plus if you're in MIlwaukee, Madison would be west, not South and Fond Du Lac, where would that be? North?   :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2: :crazy2: :icon_compress: :icon_compress: :confused2: :confused2: :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:

You are making the wrong analogy there, YAX. The Wisconsin road signs are not telling you which road you are on, while the California sign tells you which road you are already on.

Rather, the Wisconsin signs are telling you those roads are coming up ahead of you; you'll run into to them and can make a choice then. Those signs prepare you now so you can start making lane changes.

If you think about it, you can't possibly be driving on all of those roads at the same time, correct? So, you can't be confused about which direction you're really going but just be focused on which road you are going to take next.

We have a section of Highway 94 here. It's posted speed limit is 55 mph. But if you go at that speed,
other cars are whooshing ahead of you.

Good thing is, few people will flash their lights behind you or honk at you. They just move to the sides and get ahead.

;D Good points.  But at the same time, if you're on the freeway and the center lane says South 43 (with an arrow pointing down the lane) and left lane says N 41 while right lane is a bypass lane.  Would that mean you're going southbound and stay in the center lane to keep going south?

All the lanes under those arrows will take you to any of those three, YAX. That's what the sign points to. If you want to go to any of those roads, you have to stay under one of those two lanes the arrows point to.

So, if you are on any of those two lanes, you can later branch to 41 North, 43 South or 894 bypass.

Yes. He was coming back to do a mini-tour of Minnesota. :2funny:

Does not appear he'll find his way home the way he thinks of our signs.

You were going home.

and then there's Illinois.  You have to pay toll every few miles.  Like wtf?  If you miss your exit, That's an extra toll to get off the next exit, then a toll to get back onto the freeway then another toll to get off your exit. Ouch.  Poor people can't leave that state because they can't afford the toll fees required to cross the boarder.  ;D

You already made your way back to those signs. So, you are ok to return to your Minnesota mini-tour.

I don't like those tolls, either.
