Yeah, except for those rare little ponds where no one fishes and poof you find a few big ones, but that's it. The biggest problem with city lakes is that there's too much destruction of the shoreline that actually produces fish or rather produces the correct environment for food for big fish.
When they cut down all the trees that borders the lake so that it would be enjoyable for people and they can cast, at first it seems like easy to catch fish, but the habitat actually gets ruined later on. Too much sunlight in the shallows means too much algae growth that chokes out a productive habitat. That also contributes to poor fishing in city lakes.
