I'm glad I've never done ocean coastline open water lifeguarding.. .They were busy on the busy side dealing with idiots that didn't want to follow directions and rules. They had to rescue a couple of them and gave those idiots a good talking. Just too much uncontrol space and ground to cover and too many idiots to deal with from that I've seen:

Not from Houston, just a visitor. I've been to H-town on several occasions though but first time crossing the bride over to Galveston.

Cool, good to know that you rent beach houses there.  8)
