Why I installed cams on my vehicles

..Still too many shameless lying frauds out there:

Man called 911 to report a Tesla hit him, but the vehicle's cameras told a different story

The dash cam in my wife's Camry is over 5 years old and the one in my Taco (rear view mirror style) is about 3 years old. The quality of the video is good (both are 1080p). Both cams records both front and rear views. Each cam cost about 40 bucks and have been well worth it capturing accidents, dumb stuff idiots do on the road, and we even captured a UFO driving to L.A. on I-5 over the years. Both are easy to install too.

Here is the one in my Taco. The display can be front only, rear only or split into front and rear views. But if you're reversing, it's only rear view:

I took the one in the Camry out because it was involved in an accident recently. Thank goodness for the dash cam as the other party was LYING. All we did was sent the clip of the accident to our insurance company as well as hers and she's liable now. Her insurance company was probably shaking their head in disgust once they view the dash cam clip.. ;D

The display view are similar, front, rear, split except when the car is in reverse (rear view only):

Thanks, more economical than I thought. I saw one at Costco a few months back for about $100. It had both front and back exterior recording and also interior recording. Been waiting for a genuine 4K dash cam but might have to settle for now.
