My dad says they actually sound like this in Laos and Thailand.

Phiv Nyuj Vaim is an eight eye demonic monkey. Before my uncle past away from cancer in Thailand, he is one of those Coj Fas soldiers and a leader too in Laos. He has met one in person as it spoke to him. The husband is the Phiv Nyuj Vaim,  who wants my uncle to ua neej rau nws tus poj niam. So he played the mouth organ for its funeral at some weird jungle. What's scary is of how he describe it, it's an eight eyes monkey with deformity. It's a demon with deform looks. All of this took place at night.

A demon perhaps?

Demon monkey with 8 eyes, to be exact. Thai and Hmong are afraid of these things; also, they are hard to kill. The legend says that if you killed one, they can't die. You can gut them and spread their intestines around other threes, and you chop their legs, arms, and head off; yet, they are still alive. The guts that have been spread are to tell those things that you have killed one of their own. So just run away after you kill one. You can burn it; however, you might bring those packs to come and kill you.
