APP (Asian Plant Poachers)
« on: September 13, 2021, 05:13:08 PM »
South Korean plant poacher snatched $600,000 worth of plants from state parks — and tried to ship them to Asia

Prosecutors say Kim and his accomplices, Youngin Back, 47, and Bong Jun Kim, 46, stole plants from DeMartin State Beach and Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park that were worth more than $600,000 in Asian markets. Kim and his accomplices then drove the stolen plants to a nursery near San Diego.

Served them right.  They went harvesting and stored in daygo then went out to another park and harvested some more.

Just like those who illegally harvesting abalone and due to their numbers declining, the recreational abalone harvesting is closed for who knows how long.

Just like another article I read.  Guy saw poacher fishing for large mouth bass and took them all, big and small.  He called cal tip and got them busted with 60+ of them.  They had connection to sell to them asian restaurants as that is a hot ticket fish for the plate to serve.

Nothing is worth it.  Fine and or jail time is not worth the hobby.  Your money is dirty so the feds will confiscate all that you own, even if you did not use them dirty money to buy your toys.
