Scammer, Really?
« on: March 04, 2022, 07:38:27 PM »
I just received an email from a fake @$$ department known as Amayznes.com and they request me to fill out all the info that I should insure my security. I had suspicions, (1) I look up at their URL address and it doesn't match up the original, Amazon. (2) Why should I need to refill out my info when I already had done it in the past. That makes no sense and no need to do so.  :2funny:

I've gotten a few cold calls that asked me to verify my name so they could get me to an auto insurance company that would save me more than what I've been paying for, said the callers.

"Could you VERIFY the spelling of your name please so we know we have the correct person?" the callers have said.

They had expected that I would go ahead and tell them how my name was spelled or even just what my name was.  They made me think that they already had me down good.

"What do you have?" I asked each time.

"Sir, could you verify the spelling of your name for me please?"

"Well, you said to verify. So,  I want to know what you already have so I can verify whether it's me or not."

"Just a second."

Click.

When you keep asking them dumb questions they get angry. That's how you know they haven't done anything correctly.  :2funny:

Then there's the life insurance caller that said they had ways to pay for final expenses but wanted to know if I had any MINOR health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic pain...or cancer and things of the sort.

I spoke right back. "Cancer is not a minor issue, sir. If you think cancer is minor, you aren't covering people correctly. You guys need to revamp your tactic," I've told two of them.

"oh, yeah...ok."
