Vegas Here I come
« on: July 12, 2022, 08:19:16 AM »
This will be my 1st time.  What are some places to avoid, must visit, must eat, etc...  I'm thinking about heading to Grand Canyon during this trip as well.

Pho Kim Long II in China Town is best among pho restaurants.

If you play Black Jack, don't risk too much.  :2funny: :2funny:

Watch lots of youtube.

Cheap eats, hidden gem, off strip stuff, how to ect ect.

My advice, don't be walking at sketchy area at night.  That is from the Strats going north and trying to make it to the Fremont street area.  Don't take coupons from mexicans and don't do time share advertisement.   Wear walking shoes and it is hot as eff right now.  Last week I landed there at 108 fun loving degrees.

Since you are ancient, married with children, my advice will do little to you.   :2funny:

Must take photos under the LV’s welcome sign.

Walk the strips at night.

Go up the Eiffel towel.

Oh and that water display thing.

Check out David Copperfield’s magic show.

Must do one buffet lol

My vip card can be used without my presence there but are limited to only certain perks.

Like free valet, they don't check ID
Free line cuts if you want to cash in your chips or tickets.  Just flash them real fast and put away.
If there is a vip line for diner, you can use that lane too.  Flash and go.
Like the bucannal buffet at ceasar, free vip line cut and no reservation needed
vip line for the pools

basically, anything that they don't check ID.  Any caesar properties will do.

my baller card will expire by next year as I'm retiring from the casino high roller lifestyle.  If you want, send me a mailing address and I'll send you a card to keep.  All I'm asking for in return is if you do play (a big if) is to stick the card into the machine when pulling the slot machine.  Don't give it to the dealer when playing table because they will pull up my picture and will see that it is not you and it can complicate things.

Another helpful tip in vegas is that there are cvs and walgreens there.  Use it to buy water and nick nacks.  It is a lot cheaper.  There are atm machines in them stores too and the fees are a lot cheaper than had you do atm inside a casino.

I would binge watch youtube about vegas deals and how to until it is my time to go.  Keep the information fresh in your mind and be excited about your trip.

If you gonna take an uber from the airport, while walking to the uber transportation area, you can already  scan and see some cheaper rates.  Take it while walking because by the time you get to the uber destination, there will be so many people and the rates are higher.   O0

Go far far to your left and wait there because that is where all them uber vehicles would pull up and you can see your ride more easier.

Some simple tips like these are priceless.  Everyone has their own rush and destination to get to but if you are equip, you will look like a pro there.   O0

Yes I am a Vegas Virgin.  Any more tips will be much appreciated.  Oh, what is a hotel I must see?  I've always wanted to see The Venetian.  Can a person just go in and walk around or only hotel guest?

Notice that Vegas is full of casinos and each hotel has a casino built on one of its floors. (The airport and other large buildings have their own, too.) They will let you in just like a public place.  You can even play at those casinos.

Update:  trip was booked but had to cancel because of other obligation.  No Vegas trip :( :( :( :( I was looking forward to quick tour to the Grand Canyon and yes do one buffet lol.

FYI, I had a layover in Vegas on my way to Fresno and didn't realized the strip is right next to the airport, is that right?  OH, even inside the airport you can play the slot machines :D :D :D No need to set foot outside  ;D ;D ;D

Sounds kind of like me when I go to Vegas. Go out and walk around, gamble during the day. But once the sun sets, I curl up in the hotel, turn off the lights, and put on some ear plugs..lols Me and the wife made a quick stop in Vegas for 2 hours on our way to Denver couple weeks ago. Didn't do any gambling, just wanted to stop by since it's been some time we both were in Vegas. Honestly, it's a little over rated IMO after you visit a handful of times. I know people who fly out, drive out there once a month or so. And it's not like they gamble either..they just like the scene..haha
