Want to work the abs?
« on: August 02, 2022, 10:52:13 AM »
Don't do crunches. At least they never seem to work for me. I don't think that I am breathing right when I do them. All those years wasted!  >:(

Do these exercises instead:

I also do negatives

Plus, this may sound nasty but when you squeeze a hard poop, you are working your abs too.    :2funny:

Basically engage your core instead of just the abs.

I can feel that I'm working my abs more (whatever is there  :D). And I'm seeing the payoff.

As the saying goes, abs are made in the kitchen.  Due to medical reasons, I only have one ab  :'(

It's all about the diet... I don't care if you do all these ab exercises, you're not going to lose that mid-section until you eat properly. Heck, I can do that L-shape on the floor with my two hands touching the floor and hold that for 15-20 sec while rocking back and forth but I don't have a 6-pack. I don't watch what I eat most of the time...

True.

We have a sister-in-law shell out $10k to have her stomach stapled. She could've accomplished the same thing for free by doing intermittent fasting. Although she didn't regain all her weight back, she is chubby now due to aging.

I ate with a purpose when I was all about that bulk life.  Steak, eggs, and rice.  Fruits and salads was snake for work.  I gained 15lbs in 8-9 months.  From 140lbs to 155lbs.

I heard that eating Greek yogurt after an intense workout is good for strength and building lean mass. I wouldn't know since I don't do intense workouts.  ;D

But seriously, just walk and make sure to take more than 10,000 steps per day.

I love walking. I can go for hours. It's a great way to maintain weight or lose weight, and relieve stress.

I used to walk 18+ miles a week at the park.  For added resistance, I wore a 20lbs vest.  It was great for building calve muscles.

The first one this chick does is very good for weight control and anything else. Abs will be strengthened, etc.

I do that in place of jogging some times.
