Why does an IRS agent need this...

Part of the major duties of new IRS special agent:

- Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.
- Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrant, and other dangerous assignments.


These people audit taxes... and if they find cheaters, report it to the authority. They are not judge, jury and executioner.

They worked in an cubicle settings and there are literally a lot of them.  They looked like your typical customer service weakling looking people.  They do not need any special training to do law enforcement work. 

Maybe they get perks for getting the title of being a federal agent.  Crime against them will be 10 folds. 

So when you see an irs woman goes shopping in public and carrying a big purse, yep, her gun is in her purse.  Republicans, is that your dumb idea to get more Americans to carry a piece in public?
