Oldest religion they performed was Judaism. Yes, God forbid his children from doing anything abomination. The chapters from Joel to Malachi his children did numbers of things that are abomination in God's sight.

Even his children during the NT follow similar pattern as in the OT. Modern days like now people aka the Gentiles no matter the skin color is do the exact same things as the Hebrew from the past.

Not sure the passage implies today's Christianity. Sound to me the passage that Reporter extracted was from the old testament oldest religion, Judaism.
