Thieves believed to be targeting Buddhist temples in North Texas, police say

Thieves took $38,000 from Buddhist Temple

North Texas police departments are working with the FBI in an attempt to stop a crime ring they believe are targeting Buddhist temples across North Texas. White Settlement police say they responded to a diversionary theft at Wat Busayadhammvan aram on White Settlement Road on Nov. 20. Police say 9 people distracted a monk and stole $38,000 in cash. Many of the suspects are women who were wearing headscarves and masks. The suspects arrived in a stolen van from Dallas that was recovered in White Settlement on Nov. 22.

...A Buddhist temple in Nashville, Tennessee, was also robbed on Nov. 27. Police are looking for the five suspects involved in that incident.

I on the other hand just keep my $$$ in the bank and withdraw as needed, much more secure IMO  O0:

Buddhism is not a religion so they can't be exempt from taxation for business right?

Keep the money, all cash, tax free and away from the government's knowing.  How them criminals know about the large amount of money is there is beyond me unless it is an inside game.  For starters, you have a group of people so you know you will have to steal a big loot to make it worth while.  If you steal from the salvation army bell ringing guy, do you need 5 guys to split $20 worth of cash?

Also very convinient as I don't even have to go inside, just use the ATM machine. The way some banks look out for their customers is comforting too  O0:
