Burning joss paper at deceased grave

I would like to understand why people burn joss paper at the deceased grave without letting you know.

Someone did that at my dad's grave, too, and we don't understand why, either.

We have no idea who did it. But it doesn't hurt us. I think it's still a good thing,
because one thing I know is that the joss papers become money for the deceased.
My guess is someone living owes that deceased person and is paying the debt
back by lighting the joss papers that turns into money in the other world.

Sometimes the dead come in their dream
Asking for money and food

So they burn the joss to give them money

Yes, burning joss paper is like giving the deceased money.
Possibly the deceased came into the dream and was asking for money; or possibly that person owed the deceased money so they are doing so. I wouldn't take it as something bad or negative.
