Say What? Republican Senate Candidate Believes White Folks Are Owed Reparations

Bernie Moreno, who is backed by Donald Trump, believes white people are long overdue for compensation.

The GOP has always been the party of white supremacy and will remind you of their gross agenda at every turn. Case in point: Republican Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno says white folks—not Black people—are the ones who should be receiving reparations. Moreno, who is supported by Donald Trump, made the asinine suggestion during a campaign event on the same day he announced his candidacy.

He is trying to unseat Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown. Moreno’s statement falls in line with nationwide conservative efforts to whitewash American history so white folks can feel better (and remain ignorant) about slavery, discrimination and other inhumane acts committed in order to maintain power.

It's funnie that you put it that way - "GOP has always been the party of White Supremacy."

A little history on the Democratic and GOP political parties:

- The Democrat Party (mostly wealthy slave owners) was started to opposed the Federalist Party(mostly wealthy merchants from the North) - to keep the slave supply line going.
- The KKK (founded by a Democrat, Nathan Bedford Forrest) aided and loyal to the Democratic Party, the Klan enlisted men and women from all classes. Targeting Union Leagues (freedmen's political clubs), night riders harassed and often killed black and Republican voters and officeholders, burned black churches and schools, intimidated teachers, and stole elections. In the 1868 elections, alongside Knights of the White Camellia, they murdered 1,000 black and white Republicans in Louisiana alone. - Cambridge University
- "Between 1877 and 1910 the KKK fueled Democrats’ push to establish one-party rule and Jim Crow. A coalition of Democrats, Klansmen, Red Shirts, Rifle Clubs, and White Leagues targeted freedmen and their allies, utilizing ballot fraud, intimidation, and murder. Defeat of populists by ballot-rigging and terror enabled Democrats, as the Supreme Court instituted the “separate but equal” rule, to enact Jim Crow. The system disfranchised and terrorized blacks; it also persecuted Jews, Catholics, and nonwhite immigrants.- CU
- Historian Eric Foner (a Democrat) notes: “In effect, the Klan was a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party.” - Kinda like how Antifa & BLM are being used by Dems now.
- Abe Lincoln, a GOP, ended slavery in America but was assassinated by a Democrat.
- the Democrats along with their KKK allies fought against the Reconstruction after the Civil War.
- In the 1857 case Dred Scott v. Sandford, the court ruled that slaves aren’t citizens; they’re property. The seven
justices who voted in favor of slavery? All appointed by Democrats.
- President Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat, shared many views with the Klan. He re-segregated
many federal agencies, and even screened the first movie ever played at the White House -
the racist film “The Birth of a Nation,” originally entitled “The Clansman.”
- Senator Byrd, a Democrat, was an ‘exalted cyclops’ of the Ku Klux Klan for a long time - but he was honored by many Democrats, as US News put it "because he was a Democrat, the people who make judgments about what is and what is not newsworthy chose to give him a pass."

Some more lists of what the Dems/GOP toward did to Black American:
 1) Democrats voted against every piece of civil rights legislation in Congress from 1866 to 1966
 2) Democrats voted to keep Africans Americans in slavery, opposing the 13th Amendment which officially freed the slaves. Only four Democrats voted for it.
 3) Democrats voted against, but was passed by GOP, the 14th Amendment which gives citizenship to Blacks.
 4) Republicans also passed the 15th Amendment which gave slaves the right to vote. Not a single one of the 56 Democrats in Congress voted for it.
 5) Republicans passed all of the Civil Rights laws of the 1860s — including the Civil Rights Act of 1866 and the Reconstruction Act of 1867 following the Civil War. Even Kennedy and Al Gore Sr. opposed it. President LBJ was instrumental in getting the CRA & VRA but he also stated..."I'll have those n-word voting Dems for the next 200 yrs."
 6) "The Democratic Party identified itself as the 'white man's party' and demonized the Republican Party as being 'Negro dominated,' even though whites were in control." - PBS
 7) The Republican Party itself was founded as the "anti-slavery party" in 1854. The party subsequently gave us President Abraham Lincoln and ultimately, the Emancipation Proclamation which led to the liberation of slaves.
 8)  The Democrat passed the Black Civil Codes that forced Americans to utilize separate drinking fountains, swimming pools, and other facilities in the 20th century by race - hence, segregation was created.
 9) Majority of Dems fought against 'desegregation' including Brandon when he stated ""Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point. We have got to make some move on this."
10) President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a Republican, appointed Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren who penned the Brown v. Board of Education decision that ended school segregation forever.
11) GOP, Sen. Everett Dirksen from Illinois (the "Land of Lincoln"), who wrote numerous pieces of legislation including the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which banned discrimination in housing.
12) It was Nixon who introduced the "Philadelphia Plan" that serves as the blueprint for affirmative action today.
13) GOP President Ronald Reagan who in 1984 signed into law the holiday now known as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Yeah, the GOP has a history of 'white supremacy'  :2funny: :2funny:
I believe Moreno is saying that just to pissed off all those 'reparation for blacks' activists...
