I love this topic.  Lots of good information.  Thank you!

Just want to say though... the fighting and bickering over who's right and who's wrong in their assumptions/thinkings/views is very immature.

Until further, deeper, complete research and anthropologica l work is done on the Hmong and their beginnings, we can't really be sure of anything.  It's nice to feel a sense of pride, to want to know our roots... but until there is proof... let's continue the curiosity and desire to learn more about ourselves.  (In the meanwhile, I do appreciate very much the work the Chinese/Hmong scholars have done and are doing.  They do have strong claims with good support and sources.)

I hope someday we'll find the answers.  (I will donate to serious anthropologica l work on the Hmong.)

All of you guys are so funny.  All the things you guys talked about are nonsense because some makes sense and others don't.  Well do you guys even watch chinese history movies and compare them to Hmong history.  Here is my point when it comes to the root of where Hmongs came from.  We Hmong are not the lost tribe of Isarel, do not have white or arabian blood in us. We have pure Hmong blood in us.  Sure you would question that "Why does some Hmongs have blue eyes and blonde hair"? Well that is so simple.  Why does some black girls have light complexion with blue or green eyes? Why does some Hmong people have black skin with nappy hair?  The answer is so simple.  For example, a Hmong girl got married to a white missionary and their kids could turned out to have blonde hair and blue eyes.  The off springs of white guy and hmong girl will produce these traits.  So now you guys get the point about some Hmongs with blue eyes and blonde hair.  These are only a small percentage of hmongs with those traits.  If you truly believe that you're part of the lost tribe then I say go ahead and believe it to satisfy your theory that you're associated with the jewish race.  We are not them.  We are Hmong.

Please do not ever mention the Bible ever again when it comes to Hmong people.  The Bible is meaningless to Hmongs and rather useless in our field of trying to find our root.  Hmong DID NOT encounter god until the French conquered Indochina and introduce God to the Asian race.  Before that, we did not know of GOD.  Look at the Mayans and Aztecs before and after their conversion of Spaniard Missionaries. Use your judgement and revise your thinking skills.

Hmongs history and the way that they lived can be complicated, but if you listen to the Hmong folk tales and read about our Hmong history then you would know how they lived.  Go take a look at how Hmong Chinese lived and compared that to Laos to truly understand the 1600-1900s.  I have much more knowledge, but maybe later I can explain some more to you guys.

Remembered Hmongs during the Qing Dynasty (Machus era) Hmongs and Chinese were forced to have pig tails. Before that, they had neither short hair or long hair like the chinse.

watch this http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Chu_Han_Chuan_Qi as it is possibly near at best the depictions of events although I would still read the fine line where it may and will most likely state the art of fiction in some to many instances, ofcourse.

The trick to mastering all the tricks and deciphering all the riddles within many great philosophies is... dissipate the thoughts, not be of solid; and evaporate the existence of the self, not be of water; but move about from one standpoint, not that of air.

Note the four snail like figure pattern. All the mixed Hmong or adopted Hmong may disagree but screw them, this isn't about their ancestors, it's about ours. And I'd say the darn puzzle pieces fit too damn well for all this to be just a coincidence.
