Jones Island - Milwaukee, WI  ;)

Not a lot of people know this area, but it’s great for brown trout fishing during this time of the year (as long as there’s no ice). Just hook up a dart jig head with a 4” Gulp Alive Smelt and jig it slow off the bottom. A lot of fish this time of the year come to this spot because there’s a discharge from the power plant/electric company that’s next to this area. The discharge creates warm water that attracts bait fish, which in return attracts trout/salmon/etc. to the area. The fishing has been good around this area and under the Hoan Bridge, but this week there’s too much ice to fish. Also try spawn sacks, they’ve been doing good as well.

G’luck!  :D

thanks addison...but i'm afraid of fish who swarm to warm areas like that...there are many chemicals that get absorbed into fish fat...
