Well I don't know for sure... I was only there for a short time..
I know you can go to church... there's just not a lot of hmongs there to be honest...

A lot of the Hmong moved out a long time ago. Some to the suburbs and some out of the city. Back in the 90s the Hmong lived in a part of the city called Linda Vista (the housing projects). That was where things were happening and it was like a Hmong village there. The Hmong youth use to hang out at Linda Vista Community Park by the hundreds almost every afternoon. Now the Mexicans have moved in and all the Hmong have moved out. The Hmong population have scattered mostly to the suburbs and a lot have moved out of San Diego. With the small population and technology, the youth are more inclined to stay home.
There are a lot of things to do and places to see. Enjoy your time there.

you would be surprise to catch a hmong person in public. hmong in southern cali, even including central (Fresno) are too busy working to pay off their bills...no time to party or play.
you're better off walking on the beach allday-24, watching the waves crash at your feet...yes, it's that lonely and hopelessly romantic.

U can find them at church. but most likely they are at the beach chillin... lol
