just showing my vintage game systems collection. not every system yet, but trying to get more. all the systems except the atari are connected to a 8 input switch, then connected to a hdmi converter box that is connected to a projector. i plan to add a few more systems and put some led strip light to brighten the console for display. i custom build the stand myself. couldn't find a pre-built stand anywhere. almost had an amish build one but it was too much. the stand is made of mdf boards from menards.

Nice build. It'll be a pain if you were to ever move though. Hah.
You need the rarer ones, like the Neo Geo Pocket, 3DO and the Virtual Boy.

there's a lot of wires in the back, and each has a label. but yes, it will be a pain to move them. i'm hoping to live here for a very long time. :)

that's the fun part, teaching the kids to appreciate games. my 4 yr old son is learning to cover the cartridge with his shirt to blow. do you have any classic games?

Would you believe I used to own some of the rarer game titles but gave/sold them away because I wasn't aware they'd be collectibles in the future?
I have an old Vita and that's it. Had other toys but they were disposable so it never occurred to me to hold onto them. With emulators the need just isn't there anymore to have older systems beyond collecting and nostalgia.

i think we all made those mistakes. i got rid of a lot of classic games myself. i had to rebuy most of the consoles from auctions and craigslist.

Hah! Isn't that always the case.
I can't tell you how many times I've bought and sold the SNES.
But since I have an older phone I no longer use I've thought about repurposing the phone as an emulator. The phone packs a punch for being a couple of years old.

In the past we'd own atari 2600, genesis, game gear, gameboy,sega cd, sega 32x, gamecube, ps2, Xbox 360, ps3 and that's it, I doubt we'll ever buy any other game consoles as we've grown out of that stuff.
