Must be something in the water
Anyways, so when a vang dates a vang they become fangs.
What does yangs become?

In America, when you get married, you can change your last name to whatever you want. It doesn't have to sound the same, either.
For example, if two Vangs marry each other and they want their last name to be neither Vang nor Fang, they could even use Love as their last name.
So, you can tell now what two Yangs will be: anything they want.

Even though our elders did not fully comprehend the science behind it, they understood enough to see intermarriages within the clan as taboo or unwanted.

Because of the alternate last names, ie.. Yang and Young... See If I was a Yang and come across a smoking hot Young, I would definitely say it's fair game too.lol
I think it's best to practice like Thai and Viet people, as long as they're not related it's all fair game. Besides, although we may have the same last names, but our mother's has different last names so it's rather save to procreate a new clan. Of course, that's what logic would suggest but based on evolution/science. But everyone is entitle to their own opinion.
