Indian man kidnapped and forced to marry woman, even as he cried through the ceremony

A man was reportedly kidnapped and forced to marry a woman at gunpoint in India.

Video clips circulating online show a man identified as 29-year-old Vinod Kumar appearing to be forced to perform wedding rituals in the Indian state of Bihar.

According to the Daily Mail, Kumar, a steel engineer, was abducted while attending his friend's wedding. During the ceremony, a group of men reportedly seized Kumar and hauled him away before pointing a gun at his head shortly after.

In the video, relatives could be heard saying: "We are only performing your wedding, not hanging you. Why are you crying loudly?"

Kumar reportedly said earlier in the video that he was not cooperating because did not have his parents' consent. Seconds later, a gun was held to his head.

Kumar is quoted as saying: "They (the girl's family) befriended me during the wedding and asked me to step out. They kidnapped me and took me to a home where I was forced to put vermillion in the hair of a girl. I had never seen her and I don't know who she is."

Forcible marriage, a ritual known as "Pakudua Vivah," is reportedly common in Bihar, according to Gulf News. It usually is carried out by families reportedly looking for suitable grooms but unable to afford heavy dowry costs.

Local police have reportedly launched a probe into the incident.

Not very smart to force someone to get married at gun point regardless of gender. Good news is police say the investigation is ongoing. Apparently, there are 3000 cases of groom-based forced marriages a year there...pretty sad and primitive.

So fawked up.  He said he does not even know what she looks like.

Then again, I think I'm more fawked up.  So some one handed you free poocee n you still cry about it?

Get poocee, then let the police to overturn the charges and you walk away with free poocee.

I'd make sure she eat from 2 cups too.

i had that happened to me a few times...1st they (women) just want to visit, purposely forgot their underwear, then toothbrushes started appearing, before i know, their clothes are mixed in with mines...but I didn't cry about it!    :D ;D
