Never imagine happening in the US.  I think the recent fire may have been contributing factors.

After listening to the story, was this a marriage built on love or gratitude for the girl?  For the guy, I think it was probably love because he came from a well off country and could afford to look for love and he found it in her thus married her but the girl did not have the same luxury.  In time, she came to accept her fate but is that love...

Share your thoughts when you're done listening.

General Relationship / Love and Obsession in Kdrama
« on: September 20, 2017, 09:09:47 AM »
One can learn a lot from watching Korean Drama.  When it comes to love drama, the evil guy or girl, is usually obsess w/ the pab ej, nas ej,  and do all they can to get him/her in the name of "love."  When things don't go their way, they use the "blaming" card.. and don't accept accountability for their wrong doings, never see the point of views of others (whether they feel the same way or not)  except their selfish greed.

Love is the opposite of that.

Movies / Wonder Woman
« on: June 07, 2017, 11:14:29 AM »
Growing up, Wonder Woman was a TV series I watch religiously.  I even got the series on DVD and so looking forward to the movie.

Finally saw it yesterday and I still prefer the TV series.  In the old series, I like how Diana Prince did the twist and "pow" she became Wonder Woman ready to fight villains. The "twist" was her transformation from ordinary to super hero.  Other Superheros have their own transformation:  Clark Kent disappearing in some places away from public eye - emerges as Super man, Peter Paker same thing... Bat Man...same thing...

But in this movie - no transformation .  And the little transformation we did see - was when she took off her cape and wow -la the wonder woman custom underneath we were hoping for.  The element of transformation from the ordinary to the super hero is missing so we're just left with this tough Amazonian fighter who dresses like what we assume to be Wonder Woman...

Overall, it was ok.  Good to see a strong powerful woman on the screen but as Wonder Woman...hmmmm. ...it's going to take some adjusting...

Online Journal / Life's Milestones
« on: December 23, 2016, 03:26:06 PM »
I'm starting a new journal entry and I was going to title "A New Beginning:  A New Chapter" but I think Life's Milestone is probably more appropriate.  I'm not starting anything new and yet it feels like I am entering a new chapter in my life.

Beauty & Fashion / Korean Skincare
« on: September 28, 2015, 10:22:54 AM »
I know Korean people, especially the actresses, have such amazing skin.  They must be doing something right.  I've been looking into korean skincare products  thru here:

http://www.wishtrend.com/68-wish-box

I've order wishbox 17 for my daughter and she loves it.  I've been using the Honey mask and honey cream..so rich and makes my skin soft..and smooth.  I use the honey mask twice a week and honey cream daily either as a night moisturizer or day moisturizer.

Have you used Korean products that you really like?

Has anyone use the IOPE Air Cushion like here:
http://www.iope.com/global/en/skincare_makeup/air_cushion_zone.html

I'm thinking about getting one..
