I want that dry Thai laab dish with the boiled pork rinds with herbs like mint, etc. What is that dish called?
Kinda like this but with more rinds:

If it was the last thing on earth, I'd eat baby duck eggs. I've had it before. But I'm choosing not to eat it anymore because I feel sorry for the baby duckies. ;) ;D

I got a secret viet pho restaurant tricks of the trade for you.
Next time you make yourself some hmong pho, try this. Take a pot of boiling water. Add pears and boil it in low heat. This will make your base soup sweet. Decant them pears out and add the juice to your pho broth.
The sweatness of the pho broth, people mistaken that it must comes from the meat bones or chicken bones. While it is true, you will need to boil it for hours. The natural sweetness from the pear combined with the bone marrow of the beef bones will take your pho bowl to the next level.

Some lilly soup O0 ;D:
"Tiger Lillies, Calla Lillies and …..um….. Lillies of the Valley…. just teasing….well, kind of! Did you know that onions, shallots and leeks (along with Tiger Lillies, Calla Lillies and Lillies of the Valley), are members of the Liliaceae (Lilly) family? That’s why I call it Three Lilly Soup."

Kuv xav noj ib cov zaub paj kib..nrog kua txhob thiab khiav roj(home made).

A spicy bloody mary.
A crisp mojito.
The sweet and succulent pink flesh of a seedless watermelon.
And lastly, the breeze on the balcony of the 38th floor of a hotel in So Cal.

Kuv xav noj ib cov zaub paj kib..nrog kua txhob thiab khiav roj(home made).
That's what I made and ate for lunch today. Zaub paj kib nrog kiav roj. I also made stir fried diced baby squash with kiav roj too. My kuav txo was mashed raw Thai chili pepper with garlic, green onion, cilantro, and dill. I also steamed some zucchini. Dipped that in my pepper sauce. It was yummy! I made some quail soup with chicken herbs the other day too but didn't have that for lunch today. Maybe for dinner. :) I still have my green papaya that I need to shred and make papaya salad with. I like my papaya really plain and simple. Sometimes I make it with cilantro and green onion--it's the bomb. Other times I like it Laos style but most of the time I like my papaya really plain. It's more refreshing that way to me.
Picture off of google that looks like the dish I made today:

I love mint so much so I'm always in the mood for a mojito. Haven't had a bloody mary in a long time. Watermelon sounds really good right now... cold watermelon on a hot day is so refreshing!
Wow, sounds so wispy and dreamy that breeze on the balcony! We went motorcycling this past weekend through the country and rode through Lake Pepin in Lake City and it was lovely. As we rode through the peaks and valleys and through the country roads I smelled the crisp sweet air... it had a combination of fresh cut grass, sweet corn, and fresh air... it was so lovely. I love air like that! The weather was gorgeous too with white puffy clouds and blue skies. As we rode through the different country roads and saw farmland and magical landscapes and valleys, the breeze hit our bodies just right. Nothing compares to being on a motorcycle cruising through beautiful farm country and seeing wildflowers and vines on trees and wild grass dancing on the sides of the roads.

I introduced nam kao to someone and she enjoys it very much now. One of those noodles is kao soy, I can help you make that if you’re interested.

If I could eat nothing but white peaches all day I would...I just dislike the fact that those things go in and go right out of my stomach...lols
The last 2 seasons prior to this year have yielded smaller and less desirable fruits. I've been so disappointed. They used to run 5 for $5 but prices have gone up while quality has gone down. And now I can't even get them in town. I've got to cross the border just to an overpriced tray.
-
Yeah, in the Midwest we have to wait until the vendors get their shipments in. It's been hit or miss the last few years in regards to quality.
-

I tried calling around to the Lao and Thai restaurants here and none of them make nam kao! What a disappointment! Do you know a restaurant in MN that sells it? Better yet, maybe you and that person can be my restaurant where I can order nam kao and kao soy from! O0 ;) :D ;D
-
Bangkok Thai and Kings’s Thai Cuisine makes nam kao. It’s average at Bangkok, the other place you will need to call first. The best one is of course made by my mom lol.
That’s one dish we don’t make lol
