46 inc led tv ($300) + hd atenda ($80)
Speakers+receivers + subwoofer ($550)
Blue Ray player ($40)
Gaming computer (don't know.. not mine)
Game cube ($50)
--------------------

Total: $1,000.

I regret it.  I hardly watch it.  Sucks to throw money away.  :)
I will sell my system for $1,000 (excludes the gaming computer)

I think the gaming computer, I can probably sell it for $300.
Plays Far Cry 3 at 1080p with high setting smoothly.

You are on the right track!

Let me clarify that I am talking about African males on the continent of Africa.  This movement in the USA was not that well received.  (answer will be revealed later today)

They are giving their fore skin for God's favor.  Think of it as human sacrifice.

I'm ready for 4K OLED. I'm holding out for that.  O0

Might be 5 more years before we can afford 4k OLED.

Looks like Sony is pushing for 4K resolution (4 times the resolution of 1080p).  Playstation 4 will support 4k resolution.  Sony has released 4k projectors and TV.  Sounds like blueray and HDTV is becoming outdated.

Computer & Technology / Re: Anyhone running a home server?
« on: November 19, 2012, 02:24:30 PM »
How secure is it? Any hack attempts?

I've got a copy of windows server 2012 enterprise edition and thinking about using it to run a home server (one dedicated computer) mainly for file sharing, multimedia stuff, and maybe some other things in the future. Yeah, i know window server 2012 for home is overkill, but oh well... Need to get my feet wet with all its features in case i need it for a future job.

anyways, how reliable would this be? i don't want to  get a NAS or whatever you call it.. This would be for all my family members and friends to access from anywhere where internet is available.

Why not just buy a network drive and use it to share files?

Anyone remember Apple when they first started it and how it took off to when they kick Steve Job out of his company.
It went down fast, to the point where there was only 6 weeks of payroll left. Steve Job came and save the company, brought it back to life, Do you think it will fail again without Steve Job? iphone and ipad can only last so long before they start getting olds and better technology start coming out.

Actually Bill Gate saved Apple.

Any help is good....thanks in advance.

You need a mac and Xcode and yes an iphone.
Then grab a book on app development for iphone.

Mine prepaid $19 flip phone is working fine.  No reason to get an iPhone for $500 and then paying $100 a month.  I only pay $15 a month for 200 minutes.
