Title: The real cruelty to Black students...
Post by: Hung_Low on September 23, 2016, 03:41:23 PM
http://cnsnews.com/commentary/walter-e-williams/cruelty-black-students (http://cnsnews.com/commentary/walter-e-williams/cruelty-black-students)

"For college administrators and leftist faculty, the actual fate of black students is not nearly so important as the good feelings they receive from a black presence on campus." Hence, we got Affirmative Action.

"The academic elite feel righteous seeing blacks on campus, even if they are severely mismatched. Black people must ask: Are we going to sacrifice our youngsters so that white liberals can feel good about themselves?"

On another note: Blacks have been fighting so hard to rid segregation... but the new progressive, liberal/democratic blacks demand segregated campus housing and other racially segregated campus spaces and programs. Last year's college news was about demands for safe spaces, trigger warnings and bans on insensitivity.

Bet this guy will be labeled as "Uncle Tom"...

Good and well written article. But you may have missed the best and intended points.

This is an argument against Blacks, and more so other minorities as well, being used as political propaganda. Good point made upon Affirmative Action.

For sh*ts and giggles, click on the link included in the article to get the raw data. The problem with numbers is You can make it appear to support your argument, especially if you fail to view it in it's entirety. Like;

How from 2006-2015 ALL group scores went down with the exception of Asians.
How scores were lower for families with income of $20,000.00 or less as opposed to families with $200,000.00
The data suggests more students are less prepared for post secondary school

That's one of his "unbiased" news sources.

And despite the "leftist faculty" remark, I wanted to read it entirely for it's merits...and to see how much HTL actually read before pasting some cockamamie Liberals Suck statement.

Black students perform better when they are in integrated schools. Unfortunately, they tend to bring down overall school test scores so white parents prefer to pull out their own children if the black population gets too big.

My guess is that if a college has too many black students, we won't be seeing Asians or whites sending their kids there as much.

Secondly, funding will dwindle if the black and latino population gets too big. Many of them are low-income and depend on financial aid. This means the school depends on middle class white students to pay or alumni donations. This money will be spread thinly.

I highly suggest that if you have a bright kid, send them to a college where the minority population is low. Let the rich white kids pay for all the facilities, prominent faculty, and other perks all the while your kid gets to enjoy by default.
