I like the other movie that has the same old man teaching Jackie Chan (as Wong Fei Hung), the Seven Gods and their unique drunken style.
-
The one with the master that loves being drunk? I think that's Drunken Master. :2funny: :2funny:
People shouldn't become drunk before fighting. The only think being drunk will do is knock them out, right?

If only people have ran out of options so they'll use the drunken style as their final resort. Like Rock Lee from Naruto for instance.

I didn’t really like the movie. Seen it a couple of times.

Alcohol in whiskey serves two purposes: 1. numbs up one's nerves, so one can't feel pain, and 2. gives one erratic moves so that the opponent can't predict what's coming.
I think drunkards will just fall down. How can the mind still be conscious enough to fight to the end? Maybe I'll get drunk some times and find out...
That doesn't mean the style cannot be acted out. It can be for those who aren't drunk and simply do the moves like those guys do in Capoeira moves.

You got it and on VHS lol

I saw this movie in the camp in Thailand. So, Jackie was speaking Thai.
Surprisingly, when I got to St. Paul back in the 80s, Jackie appeared on a day-time show called Merv Griffin or something and was speaking clear English.

It's funny to see movies dubbed back in the days.
Jackie can sing too, I believe he even got an album out one time lol
-
He sang with that hot Korean actress that stars as the Queen in "The Myth."
Back then, I didn't know Jackie's movies were dubbed; I thought he was speaking Thai. In fact, in "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow," I thought he was a real orphan in real life exactly as portrayed in the movie.
