folks like this kind of annoys me... i like splitting everything equally... we all work, why shouldn't we all pitch in the same amount... to me, i'm not sure if they're trying to boast about their wealth or if they're genuinely sincere people but unless you're jeff bezos or bill gates... don't always pick up the tab for everything...

You will have to give more details and examples for us to see what exactly you’re referring to.

But as is, it could get annoying if, 1) they are making snarky remarks about it, thus boasting, 2) view that you are economically insufficient and can’t  afford it.

Socialism has a wide spectrum, so not sure exactly where each one of you guys draw your line on the scale.

America itself is not even full all out capitalism. It’s a mixed economy, leaning more to the right.

Even “conservatives” are not true to their principles and want socialism when things don’t go their ways. They are happy to privatize profits. But beg and cry to socialize their losses (gov’t bailouts, of which come from the public coffer), like the big banks and car manufacturers.

I don’t advocate for communism or hard socialism, as that’s not my political position, but at the very least have universal healthcare and some very basic income (guess you can call that welfare), something akin to canada... somewhere on the spectrum that’s a bit more left than where america is currently at.

America is not paying for everyone’s protection for free. Ha ha ha.

Sounds like a Fox news and typical american conservative (ignorant?) talking point.

Hmmm, yah, as if America would install military bases in the Arabian Gulf region for altruistic reasons only; solely for arab and world protection... Maybe think about the much better and greater benefits America gets out of the oil supply and geopolitical control of that region than its military spending.

And that’s why christians in america who don’t want to help other christians are hypocrites. Many american christians are very rich. They have the means. But they don’t have the hearts. They don’t have the right principles. They are hypocrites.... They hide under the banner of “oh wait in line, come in legally” when their christian values dictate that they should help. Their values superscede everything else, at least that’s what it should be. And yet here they pick and choose and turn a blind eye to other christians plight.

Those Mexicans and Central Americans coming to seek asylum are mostly catholics, and thus are Christians. Unless you don’t count that denomination as christians then you have a point.

One would think that these right wing anti-immigrants who are mostly white christians would want to help their fellow christians. Weird. Whenever I post this argument on YT these white nationalists always avoid the question as they know it will make them come across as hypocritical.

I watch most of my news on YT; like MSNBC, CNN, ABC, The Young Turks, CBC (canadian), and yes Fox as well. I like reading the comment section to see how wide the gulf is between people’s political views. The Fox people are on another level; Bizzarro world, attacking reality. I think that’s where the poster Believe-in-me gets most of her views from.

I get clickbaited a lot on YouTube, especially by those Vietnamese and Cambodian fishing videos. Recently I haven’t been “Rick Rolled” (“Never gonna give you up”) much though.

Nowadays I’m beginning to get good at trolling and triggering people as well, especially European White Far-Right Wing Nationalists.

I have read a few stories of asians going to dangerous areas to convert others on the behest of christianities . Like some Koreans going to Iraq or Afghanistan and then getting captured. And now this half breed chinese going to the Andaman islands... Tos peb Hmoob muaj lolus haistias “Cia ruam tua tsov mus ua ntej.” The white christians let these asians go first to test the tiger out. Ruam went in; Tiger got him, lol.

Wonder when a resident PebHmong poster, some one like Graciefied23 or theafterlife, etc, is going to be on the news over something similar to this?

Good job. Keep it up... So there will be less for me to do.

I’m the type that does just the minimum amount, so as not to be given the dirty looks.

Man, some of you guys are so cynical, ambivalent, indifferent,,, or is it just ignorance? You may think all parties are corrupt, etc, so your vote, your voice is a drop in the bucket, and practically does nothing,,, but think of it this way,,, if two choices are bad, well, there’s one that is the lesser evil of the two. So you should be politically motivated, educated, and participate.

I was hoping more ladies would reply so I can snag them all in this joke.

A few years ago I took a young lady in her early 20’s, who I was romantically involved with, to visit some of my relatives. While we were at the relatives house a spider crawled by causing her to scream loudly, likely holding nothing back, letting it all out, just exactly like those old silent movies with the over exaggerated gestures. She even did the flash dance “she’s a maniac”, you know the fast paced on the spot running. Pause and take the time to picture it.

An older female relative of mine found the young lady’s reaction to be quite funny yet ridiculous. So she said to the young lady, “ why are you afraid of a little spider when you aren’t even afraid of a big red leech (tus peeb liab)?”

Heh heh heh, get it?

That girl was just a bit khaus khaus and wanted thaub txiv dub tus kwv yau only. She chased him all the way to his room just for that but he failed to see the signs (or thought it was racism) when her intention was something else. The sucka missed an opportunity there.

Your assumptions are so wrong. The Hmong villager people believe in Jesus because they know that if they believe on Him, they won't die. Qhov ua neej vammej is true, but that comes from the Bible as the basis for belief, not because of the white people. Not that they are afraid of death, but because they understood the gospel. People can be a Christian yet not care about hell. If there is a hell, there is a heaven too. They hinged on the heaven side more.

In this case the messenger was way more important than the message. It hardly matter what the message was. The white color and what it represents convinced those Hmong villagers already.

You don’t think the messenger had much of an effect? Ok, picture this. Had the messenger been a lowly poor black person, it is unlikely those Hmong villagers would have paid any attention to him. If anything they probably would have thought he’s a moshlub (big foot) and ran away.

I’m inclined to believe that had the white missionary even talked about scientology, mormonism, or some other weird religion, the Hmong would have swallowed it whole. Whereas if a black person revealed about protestantism to the Hmong, they would have just picked their ears.

Why would this alarm a Christian? There will be separation of the wheat from the tares.

The point is that Whites are letting go of the various Yesxus’. And since some Hmong are little followers, like pets wanting to please their masters, and only turned to christianities because of “white is right”, these Hmong should also let go of Yesxus as well since a good portion of Whites (perhaps majority?) have done so. Just pointing this fact out for the Meos who may not been keeping up with current affairs so they too can be up to date and follow the trend.
