I've never try it but I guess if two people are willing to try, listen, follow through it could work - whether hmong or meka way.

If he’s stubborn enough to have valued the video games or a young grass as his only path to life then no.  If she is so stubborn and cold to the point that she is willing to lose everything just for a night or two of fling with a Mexican like those women I have seen then no.

It can work but like other methods, it mainly depends on the individuals involved...

What is the hmong way and the non-hmong way?

The hmong way is to get the family together for an Amish trial.  The non Hmong way is pay $100 per hour for some strink all while they can not wait to get out of there and go back home to their fawked up family affairs.  Did you know that radio personality star Delilah who gives people over the radio advices have another child who just committed suicide?  Kid suffering from depression.  She adopted a bunch of kids and lived on a ranch farm.

I don't see the need for marriage counseling unless you have been legitimately wronged by your spouse and need help to forgive him/her because you still want to remain married. It seems too many think counseling is for venting all the things they hate about their spouse when in actuality there's divorce court for that.

There's hope if the two are willing to work together. Unfortunately, usually it's one sided where one has given up and the other is trying their best. If the one that is holding on is strong enough to carry the marriage through, there will be a breaking point where the other will finally give in otherwise that person will just give up too. In marriage counseling, it's best for each person to work on themselves because whatever the outcome is, at least that person who has tried their best will benefit most and will turn out okay with no regrets. They can at least react to the outcome in a healthier way, and will only become a stronger person. In a marriage if you don't start with the self, you most likely will not get anywhere.

This is why I said it's only useful if the person whose been wronged plans to stay in the marriage but needs help to move past their anger. If that is the case then they don't need the spouse to attend and they shouldn't hope too much for the other person to change either. This is about whether or not they can really forgive and stay in the marriage after having been wronged.

Too many people, especially women, make the mistake of a.ssuming that it takes two people to be in counseling. Women are often the ones who want to seek out marriage counseling. I say that the wife either accepts her husband's flaws or she doesn't. Going to counseling may help her decide.

Men don't seem to have this problem in their dead-end marriages. They know when it's over and they don't need a marriage counselor to help them see that. If a woman doesn't change on her own then they aren't going to waste time airing out feelings. They will just leave her and call it quits.

If you can't fix yourselves, no one can!
But it does helps just ranting to a therapist who just sits there and listens.

It works if the wife's father was heading up the counseling and he tells her she better just shut up and put out or he'll kick her arse for making his family look bad.  ;D
