I think it would boost membership a lot if you limited the number of forums a Guest could view - like maybe only the General Category or something. That way browsing ppl would be forced to register to view the complete site and forums.

Sometimes some of us are too lazy to log on but still want to check the forum. :D ;D

Higher membership #'s makes the site more appealing to advertisers... :P

What section do you suggest to hide? No doubt it's a good way to force lurkers to sign in/register. :)

I think the Marriage and Family would be a good one to hide, b/c that's probably our busiest forum...we normally have like 20+ guests there daily. ;D

The entire Relationship section should be hidden from guests.

Bad idea. Newbies like to know what the site is all about, they would browse before signing up.
People who have signed up already they know what the contents are so they can browse without logging in.

That's why some parts of PH can be open and some hidden. People wouldn't want to sign-up if they already have access to majority of the contents.

You're right. We function differently. I prefer to know what is in store before I signed up.

Is there an option to show only topics to guests.. So they can see the topics but not the posts.

This is another reason why Facebook was a success. You can't view anything on Facebook unless you register/log on.
