The road to Russia has begun, qualifier games are underway. It was great to see USA spanked Honduras 6-0.
So far only the host country have qualified ;D But England and Brazil should as well with their previous wins to date.

Right? Lol that was horrible. Saudi Arabia did okay after giving up a goal but then right before the half they took the foot off the gas and Russia capitalized on it. At least they did not break the worst record loss by Brazil to Germany in the 2014 WC 7-1.
Tomorrow’s matchup between Portugal and Spain should be a great one.

Mexico have never beaten Germany until yesterday. They are also the only team in our federation (CONCACAF) to have ever beaten Germany. Congrats to them, great achievement indeed.

I am a line movement kind of a guy. It is not an indicator that it is an automatic win but it is an indicator that either vegas is fawking with us bettors or really money is pouring heavily on one side that it moves these lines. It is also an indicator that someone is out of the roster or someone knows something. If you know how to read it correctly, you can say it's easy money.
swiss was fav to win at opener then became dogs. In soccer, a + odds vs another + odds is setting up for a draw odds to win. I don't know much people who likes to bet on the draw.

You will not win much since the odds are so high but if added enough, the coins can add up. One catch is to bet bigger to get more payout. I do it during the NCAA men football season as you can see a bunch of high odds off the moneyline meaning straight up no spread game. Like Alabama vs a cupcake school, you know bama is going to roll tides. Pick 10 of these without knowing who they are for the win.
Like on my betting slip, I don't even know who them -5000 or - 8000 are but I have a 95% confidence that they will automatically win unless they cheat cuz the mafia controls some of these sport stars. Not too long ago, there were a scandal in tennis where big favor would lose. They investigated and charging folks.
In sports where there are points spread involved, I can see how them college kids be points shaving to lose on the spread but win the game for their coaches. Down to the wire, a FG is needed to win the spread and not necessarily needed to win the game so make it or not, the coaches do not care for they already won the game but the kicker is my friend. Missing it is easier than making it. Kid not going to go into the NFL anyway. As roomie, we all pooled our educational funds to bet on the other team and we bet offshore online. 100% homeboy gonna miss that fg even at 2 feet out.

I’m still shocked that we could not pull out a win against Canada. Disappointed indeed with only two points in two games and sitting in 4th place. It should have been a fun night for the Americans, who could have packed a big stadium somewhere, run up the score and gained valuable time together in conditions that might remotely be akin to November's World Cup in Qatar. Instead US Soccer staged the game on a slick, frozen pitch in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was 2 degrees out. The stadium sat just 19,400. It was an example of a small-time mindset within US Soccer, which too often plays with fear rather than confidence, which looks to protective gimmicks rather than bold attacks. It’s the kind of strategy that — while successful — is cringeworthy and hard to defend for even the most passionate of fans. Really, the Americans needed to freeze out the Hondurans to win? Shouldn’t this have been light work no matter where the game was played? Historically, the American track record of success is poor. There is no debating that. In the past four World Cups, Team USA won a grand total of two games and never made it past the Round of 16. It didn’t even qualify last time. Still, this is a young and promising team. Lots of talent. Lots of potential. Let the Americans play with some flair and some fun. Let them use the time against weaker opponents to create something special. Let the Americans play like a program that has eyes on greatness, on making noise, on standing toe-to-toe with the best of the world, not slipping into qualifying by freezing out lousy opponents in a choppy, sloppy game.
