It is okay to go see the doctor and get that gallbladder removed if it is causing you pain
than come home and do a shaman party afterward or go to church, whatever....

You're right. Belief are just belief.
I could paint a scenario where the defendant is not guilty even if face with all the charges leaning against him.
Evidence does not triump belief. A belief could still be true even with lack of evidence.

If beliefs are just beliefs and not to be taken so seriously then you should take your own advice.
Stop believing in yourself so seriously. You seem to be so bothered by Christianity. You need a new belief.
