Title: not that i'm in the market but
Post by: Mr_Mechanic on October 04, 2017, 09:25:25 AM
when dating, do you, when given the chance, look at his/her hand to see how it is?  See if it's rough or smooth?  Rough = not lazy, smooth = lazy.  Do you believe in that sort of things?

I don't look at it but I feel it by holding it. Yes, even on the first date if the attraction is there...

Don't believe in this sort of things.  A hard working lady can use lotion to give her a nice smooth hands and hard working in this country does not equates to hard labor like in Laos (working at the farm = rough hands).  Also, there's a thing called "gloves" where women can use these days to avoid having rough hands.  And if you live in cold climate, you can get rough hand by not taking care of it - not so much from working hard.  So that logic doesn't apply here in the US anymore.

If you want to know if a person is hard working on not, get to know the person and lifestyle, people around him/her, see he/she lives, etc.. those are pretty good clues.

I rather look at her mom and then look at her ankles to see if it can support another 200lbs.

Duma, you do have a point.  If you want to know what your future mate looks like look no further than mom or dad.  True to dat....

When I was young, I thought I look far different from my mom but now as I'm aging, my resemblance is more and more like her hahahahhaha... .

I look at his wallet.  ;D :D

Joking aside, I observe him and his action in his natural environment.

Yes, with just one touch of their hand, I can tell whether or not the relationship will last because I can discern just how lazy or nquag nquag they are. Also with just one touch I can read lottery numbers and tomorrow's weather.

Not an entirely reliable assumption. Some people, like me, have rough, dry skin and are still lazy!  ;D

That's very judgmental or prejudicial--concluding that things are something else without proof.

The world is full of that kind of prejudice.

Back in Laos, the elders gave such dating advice to young men and women.  Back then, there were few beauty products so yes you could literally tell how hard a person worked by the roughness of the hands (and dirt, and cut, and etc...).  If a person's hand is soft and smooth, yes, he/she can be misunderstood or may have to explain themselves heheheheh..... ;D ;D ;D
