To observe without evaluating or judgement is the highest form of intelligence.

There's a theory that says that due to infinity of space and time, out there exists an exact duplicate of you exactly as you are. Why because space and time are infinite, thus being infinite there has to be a duplicate world out there.

That's not true because the PI digit which starts with 3.141592..... goes on forever into infinity and yet it never repeats, and we are just talking 10 digits from 0-9. We are not even talking about the genetics of you or an entire world. You can have infinity without repetition.

Yesterday, I took my daughter on a day's road trip to Duluth. I wanted to drive up the north shore and possibly go paddle boarding in the boundary waters. We did make to Sawbill, but she didn't want to because she said it was too cold. We hiked at Gooseberry and visited Split Rock Lighthouse. The best part of the trip was when we stopped to save a turtle that was about to cross the highway. It was on the verge on crossing over the solid white line into the fast moving traffic. I grabbed it and we took it to one of the streams. :)

With you eternally mine
In love there is
No measure of time
We planned it all at the start
That you and I
Live in each other's hearts
We may be oceans away
You feel my love
I hear what you say
No truth is ever a lie
I stumble and fall
But I give you it all - 'Woman in love' by Barbara Streisand

To an old high school classmate, thoughts of my action towards you has have been weighing on my mind lately. I don't even remember your name, but I know we took a computer programming class together. It is one of the stupidest thing that I did in my life. I never even tried to talk to you first to resolve the issue peacefully. I simply just jump kicked you because my idiot friend said that you disrespected him in the hallway.

For that I sincerely apologize for my stupid action. Going forward, I will try my best to be kind to others and resolve issues peacefully.

There cannot be heat without cold, strength and wisdom without suffering, success without failure, life without death, or joy without sadness. Thus, if they both go together, we must learn to appreciate both for one cannot exist without the other.

M,

This is from a long time ago, but I invited myself to your place and you respectfully decline because you had sensitive information which I had no business knowing. I am ashamed for inviting myself over in such away. I am grateful that you were kind enough to be willing to meet me for a drink, which I never took up the offer because I was too busy feeling offended that you decline my embarrassing request. Anyhow, thank you for your willingness to meet me for a drink and for declining my self invitation. In my clear thoughts, I would have done the same as well, so thank you for both. I will learn from this and be more considerate of my requests and well as others request of my time as well.

Lately, I am reminded that my light went out:

Your Light May Go Out

A student of Tendai, a philosophical school of Buddhism, came to the Zen abode of Gasan as a pupil. When he was departing a few years later, Gasan warned him: "Studying the truth speculatively is useful as a way of collecting preaching material. But remember that unless you meditate constantly your light of truth may go out."

While in London last weekend because my son was running in the London Marathon, we saw a blind person running in the London marathon. The blind person ran locked elbow with another runner. It goes to show that we all have too many excuses for why we can't while this person found all the reasons why he could.
