I had to quickly snap this in the bathroom before anyone came in so it may be a little off.  Here's my first OOTD share.  Please do not quote.  Thank you.

Please feel free to give me suggestions on the do's and don'ts.  All comments are welcome.

I normally tend to pair the color of my shoes with my belt, but I was in a hurry this morning so just grabbed the most convenient one.

nice.  i know what you mean about the bathroom.     hahahaha....  too bad you couldn't get a picture of the whole outfit.  i like that you brought some color/print into your outfit.

My husband likes it when I get all dolled up... but regardless... I still do it all for me... makes life easier...

that's nice....and i totally agree, we should all do it for ourselves, not anyone else.

shampoo,  the button down tunic and wide brim hat sounds like a great outfit....but did you take a picture of yourself at all?  Please share if you did.

yes, please do share.  clothing fit differently on people so would love to see it on a real person and not just a model.     those hats are so nice.  i've been wanting to purchase one but then again, i know that i would never wear it.  *sigh*

Summerberry your husband may like seeing you dress up. My husband always tease me about dressing up because when he first met me I rarely dress up and wasn't into makeup.

same here.  the hubby teases me too but i've always been one to dress up.  he'll ask me why i get all dolled up and i tell him i do it for me.  hahahaha....

Today, I am wearing one of the outfits from the other thread... will post pix later... but it's the only one with the blue velvet blazer by Teri Jon.  Added the blue and dark blue/black scarf with it.

you look great when you wear boots like this.  i also like the pic where you are wearing the pink leather jacket/target scarf with these boots.  it really lengthens your legs.   

The only casual day we have is the Friday the company has their summer picnic.

that's too bad.  we used to have to dress professionally everyday but fortunately, they've changed it so now we have casual fridays.

No casual Friday for me. Do you have one of those day when you have a outfit in mind but can't seen to find the item. I initial plan to wear this blouse with my H&M black lace skirt but couldn't find it so I settled on plain black skirt.

Some moms like to dress up, put on make up and do their hair even if they are home.  I can't picture myself doing that on a daily basic.  I like myself as a plain jane better and with little ones at home and constantly running and chasing them around then I'm better off just wearing sweat or regular active clothes to make it more comfortable.  I like being in jean and tee but have never own a white tee like the challenge in the other thread.  It made me realized after I took that picture today that a white tee can never go wrong with a jean pairing with other clothing articles which is why LL has over 25 photos of her.  I don't even remember when is the last time I even did a load of white clothes because I refused to buy white knowing it is dirty and hard to get off.

Hopefully once I start a little shopping here and there I'll post up more since majority of the clothes I'm wearing in those photo are just my daughter except the jean and shoes.

i don't think you necessarily need to do it on a daily basis but you should do it once in a while.  i used to be able to telecommute so when i was working from home, i didn't get dressed up or anything.  i realized that when i didn't do that, i always felt tired, lazy, and not so good about myself.  then when i started to dress up, i felt better about myself.  you know the old saying.....the way you dress could affect your attitude and self-confidence.  i dress up for myself and no one else.  hehehe....

I concur. I wish I can look polish wearing just a t-shirt and jean. I always feel frumpy wearing a t-shirt and jean.

OK, so what do  you ladies think of the target scarf?  It's not as bad I originally thought... will play with it some more...

i like the scarf.  you can pair it up with a few different things.  it's always a plus in my book when things are more versatile then it gets more use.   


no work for me today so i get to wear something a little more casual.

@trouble It's too bad the lighting is so bad. I would love to see the color of your sweater. The bow tie blouse is super cute.  BTW You have an good eye.  I wasn't wearing ring. It my silver band ring that I always wore. It has reflect the color of the blazer.

oh, really.  hahaha....  when i wear different colors like that, i'll wear accessories to match them.   

We may have the same pump. The pump is Ann Taylor Perfect Pump in black.  My sister got the cameo necklace from a little boutique at the San Francisco Pier 39.

yeah, i do have those too.  i'm planning on getting their pointy leather pumps when they have their next sale.  hopefully they're as comfy as their perfect pumps.

thanks for the brooch suggestion.  it looks nice but i'm a bit cautious when purchasing something from amazon/ebay.   

Hey Ladies, I can't find any pumps that fits right and comfy. I love pointy pumps and I perfer to wear them with my slacks but I just can't find one that will not come off loose when I walk or hurt my feet.

out of all the pumps i've owned, i'd say that nine west and ann taylor are the most comfortable.  i would suggest getting leather and not the patent pumps.  with any high heel pumps, they will eventually hurt your feet with prolong standing/walking.

@Trouble, nice casual outfits.  I perfer your's over your sister's.  With the drape of her top, I felt like it was competing with her long necklace; I don't know maybe it's just me???  Perhaps a shorter necklace?  I was going to ask the same thing Anemone asked cause you both have light hair and fair skin?

she's my sister from another mother/father.     i think her intention with the longer necklace was to cover up.  due to the draping of the top, if she were to wear a shorter necklace, eyes would go to the cleavage.

thanks.  i like certain capris but not all since some of them make me look short.     they're great for casual days.

Funny how you guys mentioned the Target Hmong scarf because I wore that today. 
 
My 2nd day in a row that I'm dressing up... this is too much work!  I'm going back to being a scrub after today.    
 
I don't really like this outfit now that I'm seeing the colors played up against each other.  I was hoping that the pink in the scarf would appear more orange against the orange jacket, but it doesn't appear to be the case.... oh well.    I don't like the pink with the orange... it just looks weird.  I will have to try it with something else.....

i think the scarf looks fine.  it complements your slacks.  there's really nothing wrong with the pink and the orange next to each other.  also, it looks like they match your shoes.
