Debate Central / Re: Stand Your Ground: Chai Vang Case Revisited
« on: June 30, 2014, 11:55:05 PM »
The most incriminating thing is what you said in that last paragraph.  Two years in prison and he came out with no remorse.  He went on the stand and said that they deserved to die.

As for stand your ground, I am not sure.  I agree with you that it is most likely self defense.  If I recall correctly, the news article said that the Meka people shot first... two shots hit the trees near his head.  That's when he dropped down and took them out one by one.

What he said was just stating the truth. Who in the right mind would intimidate and threatens another fellow hunter out in the woods? Anyone doing so deserves to die! This country's laws are just so f'en stupid. The aggressor always goes unpunished and those whom retaliate gets maximum sentence. DNR rules should apply, baiting is a crime, why isn't it in Chai's case, he was baited to act?

Regarding the stand your ground law, it would have not help this gook because you're surrounded by an all white jury who's opinions and decisions has already been made the minute they'd heard some hunters had bit the dust.

Dear Dr. PebHmong / Re: Mom hates my Korean fiance?!
« on: April 09, 2014, 06:12:22 PM »
Big Kiss, little hug, Big Kiss, little hug.....I wonder why all the Hmong kids these days are not going back to Laos to teach English to their Hmong people? Why is everyone going to Korea to teach English?

Because they want to bring home a Korean bf/gf, the experience of being there in Korea, and nothing to do  with those "stupid - boring" Hmong people in Laos or Thailand. j/p

Reporter,
She probably does. Whether she thought it thru or just live for the moment for now & worry later, it's her choice and life decision.

Just screw around, simple as that... Why bother the formality?

Seriously though, I once knew someone whom went against her families' wishes and married a Korean dude. Her life wasn't glamorous or happy like she'd imagined. Communication must of being hard as it isn't a natural thing between races and she's stuck with the dude. Everyday she cooks and clean, takes care of the kids, while the dude sits, drink, and play video game day after day after coming home from work; sometimes throwing a tantrum.  So I guess, everyone "wreaks what they'd sow..."

If you have ever read the chinese quasi-historical novel "A Romance of Three Kingdoms," there is a famous episode in there where an advisor helps one of the warlords striving to unite china visualize a home base, a territory, that he can consolidate his power in and launch his bid to unite china.  The warlord follows the advice and creates one of the three kingdoms that will eventually compete for supremacy.

I personally believe we have a similar favorable circumstance and all the tools now to do the same for our own self-determination.  However, we don't have the leadership or such far-sighted advisors.  Every year, that window of opportunity to achieve self-determination is closing.  What is even more sad is that not a single hmong leader has yet to see, to visualize, the situation so clearly.

I'm just curious what the opinion of everyone out there is on this subject.

Is it even possible?  Is it too late?  Is it too soon?  How is it achieved?  Where is it achieved?

It's too late! And definitely not possible, the best window of opportunity was back in NAM.

Apes and cave-mans can do it, why can't a twelve year old? He may have read and learn a few things in literature but his mother did the heavy work.

I have a neice who came to me telling me to go work with her.  Telling me that she makes as much in 2 months as I do in a year... I told her good for her but I'm not interested...  ::)  She was quite relentless and started a spiel that when I'm old, wrinkled and still working she'll be well off and retired in the Bahamas.  God I don't get why people say this kind of shit.

Now, she makes $13 an hour doing some kind of reception work... And then blames it on you for not helping her make money buy being part of her chain... sheesh... some people will never learn.

I know, right? Almost every person whom comes to me and persuade me will use the same line.
