Faith & Beliefs / Re: What is Jesus saying here about divorces?
« on: August 15, 2017, 07:01:51 PM »
I read that.  So basically, as long as her ex husband is still alive, dating or marrying a divorce woman is adultery.  I don't know what the punishment is.  I hope it's not death.

Debate Central / Re: i regret voting for trump
« on: August 14, 2017, 02:52:09 PM »
Hmm, it could simply be that this election was beyond you intellectually .  So, you made the wrong judgement and vote for the wrong person.  it was so clear to me that trump was a terrible person through out the whole election.  why cant you see that?  it's the same thing when Bush was trying to con the US to go to Iraq.  It was just not convincing me to and I was against it the whole time. Democracy can only exist if the people are able to make good judgement.  I don't blame you.  The internet is full of fake news and it's even hard for a smart person to sort them out.  In fact, you can justify any believe simply by going online.  You want to believe in alien?  yes, you can find evidence for it online.  You want to fear immigrants?  yes you can find that online.  You want evidence for a flat earth? go online.  In fact, if there's a rich person or people that want to change people's perspective on a subject, they can simply hire thousands of people to blog about the topic in the way they want people to see.  For example, tobacco industry hired experts to help them create doubt in the research that proves smoking causes lung cancer.  A country like Russia could hire people to generate fake news to affect people's opinion of a candidate.  The question is, are you able to float above these junks?  Or did you just sink and drown in it like the rest?

Work Avenue / Re: Sabbatical Leave

I don't know if it will change anything.  Professors use sabbatical as a way to collaborate with new people and see new research and teaching that they can bring to their job.   In your case, you need break time to think about life and the direction of your life.  Some people want to travel back in time to the days when they were energetic and full of motivation and purpose to find the reasons to start it over.

The Single & Dating Scenes / Re: types of women out there
« on: August 10, 2017, 03:24:42 PM »
One cannot go into it with preconceived ideal "types". You'll be pleasantly surprised by who you end up having chemistry with.... and that's all that matters. Anyway, dude, I know who you are... we hung out once at my place. We should hang again! Hit me up in PM. NO HOMO.

Even with chemistry, I don't know how you can survive a princess or a queen or both.

A princess you to give her everything.  She wants you to buy her stuff, open the door for her, say nice things to her all the time and if she's mad, it's always your fault.  A queen just tell you to do what she wants or you will be punished.  She's harsher than the mother type.

Money & Investment / Re: Pbs Frontline The Retirement Gamble
« on: August 09, 2017, 10:59:13 AM »
Someone who worked at a factory job had been wondering about retiring.  I think he's turning 70 soon.  I told him stay on the job.  Most people who retire find boredom and often die sooner.  The work keep you strong and your mind sharp.

Don't need to worry about the right type because it's harder to find or meet them ladies then finding out what type they're. Women these days are just as busy or invincible to men.

I think I like the tomboy type.  I don't like the princess, or queen type.  I don't want to work hard to please them.  I just want them to be easy going.  Not getting mad at little things.  Reasonable when it comes to decision making.

General Relationship / Re: How to get out of a relationship
« on: August 08, 2017, 09:07:04 AM »
Just tell them you can not love them anymore.   He's not the one for you.  It will hurt a lot if he's the one that loves you more than you love him.

I don't know if it's worth the effort.  But for someone wanting to learn how to write an app could use it as an exercise.  Maybe I might just do it.  :)

I will call it, let's hangout.

What a nice wedding.  It's so nice to see two loving people coming together.

Marriage & Family Life / Re: Cheating spouse with another man's child.
« on: August 08, 2017, 08:53:12 AM »
A Hmong man's wife cheated on him with his best friend.  He chose to keep her.  Years later, she cheated on him with the mexican neighbor. He chose to keep her.  Who knows what other men she chose to cheat on him with, but he stayed because he didn't want to see his family fall apart and he knows that's the nature of his wife but he still loves her and would rather have a broken wife than no wife at all.

Now, that's called unconditional love.  These kids need a mom and a father.  I'm sure he would make a better father than the men his wife cheated with.

Voting for trump reveals a deeper problem.   It thought it was so obvious trump was a terrible person.  Who could not see this?

When you teach photosynthesis, you teach the process.  You don't need the know the molecular structure of the enzymes but you at least know the process and the players.
