that's crazy.  that's like working full time for 3 weeks.

That's nothing.  Back in my days at the UWM, I probably spent thousands of hours playing online RPG games before the days of MMORPG.  I'm glad I kicked the habit before MMORPG.

That is way too much.  That's like working full time for a whole year without any vacation.

I miss Steam.  I have over 15 games that I haven't even installed or updated...
I still haven't beaten L4D2; probably 1 as well.

now the number has reached 250 hours. 

with so much hours behind me, I am still pretty bad.  I still get kicked out in verse games because my team thinks I'm dragging them behind.  I bet these guys probably have put anywhere between 1,000-5,000 hours on left4dead.

250 hours isn't that bad.  Try Skyrim or racing games.  Those have easily clipped over 1000+ hours.  I have spent more time tuning and test driving my cars than actually racing.
If you must play a game try the newer XCom series.  Laid back, hard as hell and turn based so you can afk with no worries.

Pick up something to fill the time slot that is more useful and as entertaining.  For me I picked up the guitar again.  It helped me to kicked some of my habits. Now I'm off Dota2, diablo 3, and etc...

Guitar hurts my fingers.  :)
