Yeah, there is a point of just form and function.  That's how I started and fished most of my life.  How I rely on the Shimano Stradic spinning reels and used my FG models for about 20 yrs.  For bait casting reels, it was the Curado E series right around 2010 or before when I bought them.  That was also about the tiime when I went almost dedicated to bait casting reels and bought into the Metanium MG7 casting reels.  Funny how the internet WWW sort of boom right about after the Y2K apocalypse-never as the 90's came to an end.  Also when budget performance items was more powerful than any other time in the industry and price drops was part of it.

Getting old, older now.  It's sort of become a love for a hobby.  Where I still appreciate my total junk Shakespeare Ugly Stick rods and reels and even Zebco Rhino Rods and Classic 33 spincaster.  Not to compare it against a Shimano Stella spinning reel or a Calcutta Conquest round casting reel.

G.Loomis rods was never in the good looks when they engineered it for form and function eventhough it became the industry's premium rods standard.

Very good different perspective into choosing spinning reels.  It's also about comparing the two major marketshare players Shimano and Diawa.

Very good explanation of the 2025 Ultegra FD series.

Wish they would've mentioned the worm gear drive for oscilation system. Of course not because that is like talking about a very old technology from like 20 years ago.  Aerowrap II.

Ah the annual internet idiots posting about fishing equipment breaking under normal use...

The totally snapped off spinning reel stem
The totally broken off rod at the reel seat, bait casting one too.
Typical lure plastic body impact broken on the lure body.

None of it covered under manufactures warranty defects.

Gosh does manufactures warrenty cover idiot use?

Well knowing wally world, it's not too far fetch that's possible.  Buying a baitcasting reel and opening it just to find out, it's got no spool in it.  Spinning reel just to find out the entire drag stack is missing.  You bought that combo, clipped the zip ties off just to find out the reel seat is actually broken.  The zip ties were holding it together.

I'm feeling more and more disconneted with this world.

Seems like time flows differently.  One moment I'm in the future, and yet I'm pulled back to the present.  I have no control of what will happen next.  The glimps of the future was an accidental fake.  It didn't happen like that at all.  The timeline did change.  No one can predict the future.  It's not even an oracle.  It's just a mirage of probablity chance.  Yet often an undesireable won.  It's not about fortune nor misfortune.  It's just random. No more than just another random thought.  Yet this erie feeling of disconnection lingers.

If in the present, that disconnection feeling jolts at me.  The awe sense of delay and yet it's not.  The feeling of being puppetteered by another force.  Yet this body has always been mine.  Yet it's just a hollowness of a living breathing object.  Is my soul searching for something else.  Preparing itself for it's next life elsewhere?  Is this part of the cycle of reincarnation?  Is there truly such a thing?  Or is the rapture coming?  The ultimate source coming to reclaim it's seeds?

Or is it on a smaller scale like the planet itself communicating and expressing it's core life threads?  Pulling away at me.  Calling me back to it's source, mother planet of life?  A single drop of amino acids.  A single strand of DNA.  A hint of RNA.  Some kind of nucleic vibration of a liquid.  Something from so small destined to be part of something much grander than imagineable.  Why this husk of a body is beginning to fail.  The cellular damages are multiplying.  There's only so much timie left of this mortal world.

I wonder if other people, old people have gone through this?  Or perhaps just my sensitivity to the flow of energy, the flow of life force.  A true Hmong shaman should be able to at least detect this or me.  Yet too many fakes are there, with their hocus pocus mind drugs.  A lost art I guess destined to remain lost.  Thus probably a future portrayal of my fight against destiny.  Not a fight but still a fight just to bend fate, even if just a little sway of a divergence.

Never judge a book by it's cover.

People always say that

Jack of all trades but master of none.

Is something that's not inherently positive.  As if it has more negative connatation to it.  However this speaks for how those kinds of people really are.  Because they judge before they experience or realize the true value and meaning of it.  They cut the catch phrase off, didn't let the person saying it finish it.

Jack of all trades but master of none.  Yet better than one.

Meaning it's better than being a one trick pony.  Person who chooses to learn many things and become good at many things.  Just to realize that perhaps this is not something one is not good at.  Perhaps this is the limit of such a person's ability and won't improve beyond that level anymore.  Understanding one's limitation and realizing that one will never be able to master it to such expertise level.  Yet have valuable experience and skill sets in the area.  So in the end by being better at more than one job and leveraging that flexibility.

I don't know what gives...but lately I feel like my soul and life force is leaving my body.

I am less and less connected to my physical body it seems.  My mind seems unattached to this world.  My soul seems even more transparent like it's losing it's sheen.  I wonder if this is how old people living to old age feel?

My body feels more and more like just a shell.  Just seems like it's feeling less and less alive.

I drive my car and it just seems to drive by itself.  I type this on the keyboard and it seems like, my fingers are doing it's own thing.  I'm not directing any of it, it seems.

Back in the days...Wallyma rt and Mills Fleet Farm was good with this where they had Tire Center Service.  Shop while you wait.

This has been happening for a long tiime.

There used to be a bait shop where one could scoop up some bait and put money into the payment jar.  Honor style.  Until bunch of Hmong blabber mouth about it.

Then next thing, there's no bait left and the cause was no one was paying, honor system.  Just saying.  Didn't witness it, but it was sad when I pulled up to bait shop and it was closed...

cuz Hmong blabber mouth about it on social media...no need to point fingers on this.

The worst thing about self check out where they actually have someone watching it...gotta say kaydoo lets all the kaydoo get free pass.  agent let all the agent get free pass.  Whit let all the whit get free pass.  Cotton day mmmmmm, bunch of racing people out there.  Some kind of races hit to see whos gonna win?

Everything should be behind glass security and then everything should be paid for vending machine style.  What's in your physical cart is actually paid for.

Cub Foods put the stop to the eating theives at their deli...just like that.  Must be paid for upon receiving item.  But that self check out lanes...still iffy...That skinny security guy ain't gonna do anything, neither is that short girly security either.  :police: :2funny:

So back in the days when we were enlisted and get the Friday off at the end of the month.  We go to town to party it up.  Drill Sergeant had reminded us what the code of 3 B's for conduct.

Well half way through the night, we were drunked and living it.  Of course Corporal was in charge and would remind us what the 3B's were.

Guys, remember the code of 3B's for every mission.  Be Bold.  Be Brief. and Be Gone.

Privite First Class would correct him with drunk stupor.

That's not 3B.  That's 2B and a G.  Nah, it's.  Buy drinks.  Bar Hop.  Be Happy.

Private Second Class is the young one, who doesn't get to drink alcohhol just cola.  He's the only one with a clear head.

Guys, Drill Sergeant said.  3B's are Be Back Before Bedtime curfew or Bubba gonna beat your behinds before breakfast the next day.

Actually I was the bus driver.  Drill Sergeant always says before the enlisted departed off the buss, you screw up and get thrown into the slammer.  Bubba gonna love you.  Bubba gonna beat your behind all night before breakfast and then some before lunch.  Then Bubba gonna have you for dessert after dinner.  Guys, the 3B's were Be Back on Bus on time.  You new recruits.  Same thing at the end of the month.  Nobody has ever met Bubba.  They always make it back to the bus before Bubba.

This night stick next to me.  This billie club.  It's an Asp baton. His name is BuBBa and he has the code of 3B's  :D

Screw up and BuBBa gonna Brutally Beat your Behind.

******

Actually the 3B's stood for a lot of different things.   Just depends on the situation.
Beautiful Blonde Bee's
Beautiful Black Bee's
Big Boobs and Butt
Beat Behind the Bush
Bipolar Body and Brain
Baby Bird Brain
Bold Big Boys
Be ready, Be bold, Be brutal. -- Be ready, Be steady, Be deadly.

but those are other stories and drunk bar jokes
