I was with two colleagues at Perkins. Some southern White
guys were at the next table talking politics.

I heard one say he didn't quite like that the other candidate
and his VP weren't that truthful. But then he said he also
didn't want a woman in there.

Who is this table going to vote for?

General Discussion / One of my hunting cousins has died.

I had two cousins who were great outdoor lovers like I do. One
passed away last week.

The three of us make a good trio each time we
go out to hunt or fish. We usually share pickups or
some times even take two pickups. We have gone
far and near just to hunt or fish.

But he just passed away last week because of
cancer.

He never told us other two about his condition. But his
behaviors last year showed that he had some health
problems. One time I was out of town and he said
he wanted me to drop something off to him. I was
on my way to another appointment and I couldn't go
to his house. So, I asked him to meet up with me
at the front door of a Home Depot store. When I got
to the store, I didn't see him at the front. I called him and
he said he was right where I told him to be. Then he said
he was right by the street curb. I went there and he was
right under the Home Depot sign by the street. I had expected
him to be at the entrance to the Home Depot building.

Then later he wanted me to meet up with him for coffee
at a coffee shop. He managed to get to the parking lot
of Starbucks before I got there. I parked next to his
truck and we walked towards the Starbucks building. There
was another shop connected to the building. I opened the Starbucks
door and entered it. He was just right behind me. But he didn't
go into the same door I was going. Instead, he opened the other door
and went into the other store. I saw that he wasn't coming in, so I had
to go to the other store to tell him that wasn't the place for us.

I knew something wasn't right about him anymore but I didn't question him.

He had given us excuses for not going hunting and fishing lately. Then last
week his wife told us that he has passed away at holme.

It's obvious, Vance presented himself more presidential
during their debate. (Admit it: the VP could become
the Prez if the Prez resigned, died or became what Brandon has
become--incapable of serving.)

Vance showed himself capable of
filling in anything that Trump lacks. I think he was
demonstrating that in 2028, he becomes the GOP
nominee against whichever candidate the Blues have at
that time. (The GOP now have hope in 2028 and won't resort to
just popularity among the mobs like what got Trump nominated.)

It also wouldn't surprise me if Trump voted for Harris
at this election. He falls easily in love and everything else
with him goes down with it. It looks like he has
the hots for Harris and that may be more important than
his Presidency. At his age and his pattern of falling for
women, he may be driven to scribble on Harris's name
at the poll.

But, damn! Why are those journalists so short-sighted by
keeping at whether Trump admitted he lost in 2020 or whether
he still claims victory over that election? How is that important
in the election of what's going on at the border or in
Israel or education or abortion, etc? Does it really show
whether the Dem candidate is more capable for this election?
Does it show that the GOP candidate is less capable?

I'm still abstaining from voting.

Why does the news keep saying that?

X is what it is. We don't need to know that
Twitter used to be what X was. It's also been
too long since the change. Imagine people calling
you a new name but keep referring to your ex
as your affiliation. Unpleasant. Unnecessary.

Just get to the gist of the news. We don't
need additional descriptions.

I'm not reading the news anymore.

Sure, I wouldn't use a 6-lb line on a carp or sturgeon or even a musky or pike. But why would
it be a problem if I used a 50-lb line for crappies? After all,
they won't be able to see the line; they'll focus on just
the bait.

When the Chinese were trying to wipe out all Hmong
in China, their government sent out soldiers to all Hmong
villages for that. Whoever they say, they killed, especially
the boys and men who could retaliate.

Then a Hmong couple in a remote village where they were
most helpless somehow survived. How? Turned out they
were worshipping Xwm Kab and had a drawn picture
of the Chinese Money God on the wall. When the two soldiers
broke open the Hmong couple's door and saw the Xwm Kab and Money God
on the wall across the hallway, they bowed down and  backed
out slowly with heads bowed all the way out.
